Tuesday

We drove home on Tuesday. We stopped at Crescent Lake for lunch and then Hurricane Ridge, for one of the most spectacular view of the Olympic mountains. Unfortunately, it was cloudy, but the kids did seem to enjoy the ride up the mountain and being higher than the trees and the clouds.

Beautiful Lake Crescent

Note the patch of blue sky
We finally got cell phone reception here. Noah was going through email withdrawal

Jonah was very interested in the sticks and boats

Getting feet wet

Lunch in the sunroom of the lodge

Relaxing (yeah, right) out on the dock

The clouds begin to roll in

Sampson is drying his feet. They got a little wet in the water

This is Hurricane Ridge. Behind these clouds is one of the most spectacular views in the Pacific Northwest. Unfortunately, we did not get to see it. Those white patches on the ground are snow. The kids did have fun playing in the snow for a few minutes before getting too cold and heading back into the car.

Waiting for the ferry ride back to Seattle

Driving on the ferry was quite exciting

Don't go too fast!

Beautiful view from the ferry

Those are the clouds over Seattle

Seattle

Going home
